Anthony Mascolo to be inducted into the Monsignor Farrell Hall of Fame

Tony is a graduate of Binghamton University, where he earned a BA in Political Science. After SUNY Binghamton, Tony received his JD in Law from Fordham University. He is a former Director of the Richmond County Bar Association and a newly Installed Director of the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers. Tony is currently a member of the Staten Island Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Bar Association. He has been honored by the Staten Island Advance for sports service at its 1999 Staten Island Advance All-Star Dinner as Person of the Year. Tony has also served at various times on the Boards of the YMCA & the Staten Island Sports Hall of Fame. Longtime Director of the Staten Island Boys Football League, Tony was instrumental in helping Farrell secure a long term lease for its first ever home baseball field.
Tony & his wife Marie are also the founders and directors of the Plescia Memorial Track Meet. The event, which has been held each year for 10 years at Farrell, is in memory of Joseph Plescia '73. Joseph was a member of the track team at Farrell with Tony, attended Binghamton University with Tony, along with Fordham Law School. Joe passed away at a young age and the track meet serves as a tribute to his memory. Tony has served as a member of Binghamton University's Board of Directors and has been invited back to be a graduation speaker at one of the 5 College graduations held at Binghamton University. He is also a member of the University's Wall of Fame for work performed while a student. His is also a former Director of the Binghamton University Alumni Association. Tony & Marie also do admissions work for Binghamton, often touting Farrell Students and bringing them to the attention of the University. Over the years, he has influenced many students to attend Binghamton.
An active Farrell alumnus, Tony taught the Practical Law senior elective (pro bono) at Farrell with his partners for 19 years. Many students are now lawyers; a source of pride for Tony. He was also the president of the Farrell Football Parents Club and led the project to have lights installed on the school's athletic field. He also worked with Father Lagiovane to help renovate the Farrell Chapel.
Tony is most proud of his 3 children, Allison, a recent law school graduate; Anthony '02, a current energy trader; and Kristin, who will be attending high school next year as a scholarship student.
He is currently a partner in the law firm of Bosco & Mascolo – (John Bosco '75).
